Chef Brian West's PopUp For A Purpose has launched its second phase, this time, a reimagining of Cafe Paladar, which closed its doors at 18322 Sonterra Place, Suite 103 in 2009.

Now at 14355 Blanco Road, the PopUp will feature a similar Latin menu to its predecessor. The menu includes tacos such as lobster chorizo with roasted corn pico de gallo, duck confit, grilled snapper, smoked brisket, poblano rajas and cured salmon priced at $6. Find entrees, priced between $15 and $24, such as tenderloin with ranchero demi and mezcal bearnaise, pan-seared duck with orange molasses, ancho-maple glazed pork tenderloin stuffed with apples and a lobster chile relleno with mole verde.

The popup restaurant will remain open through at least late January. Hours for Cafe Paladar are 5:30 to 10 p.m. daily; 10 percent of the gross sales will benefit area charities, including the Cressie Animal Refuge & Enrichment organization. A three-course dinner with wine pairings will be held Thursday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, $85, can be reserved by emailing or calling (210) 858-8422.

Call  (210) 444-9495 for general restaurant reservations.
