Francis Bogside/Brigid's new pastry chef Andrea Morgan is launching some doughnut realness this Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. with a hip-hop doughnut showcase. Flavors on deck this week include a take on Beastie Boy's "Brass Monkey" with "Funky Monkey" (caramel, peanut butter, bananas, Nilla wafers, candied walnuts and whipped cream); a play on ODB's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" lyric "Ooh, baby I like it raw" with "Ooh, baby I like 'the claw'" (brown sugar and cinnamon bear claw) and finally a take on Snoop Dogg's Serial Killa with the "Cereal Killer" (Assortment of Fruity Pebbles, Apple Jacks, Coco Puffs). Donuts range from $3 to $5.

A fourth, mystery doughnut exists for hip-hop's truest fans. Score it as a freebie by following the instructions on Morgan's post:

I am excited to announce that I will be doing a hip-hop doughnut showcase at Francis Bogside @francisbogside. This Sunday is the start to a four week doughnut series, grouped appropriately for your hip-hop pleasure.
