Put that beer gut to good use this month at Flying Saucer Draught Emporium (11255 Huebner Rd #212). Last Wednesday marked the first day of their monthlong campaign with Pints for Prostates to spread prostate cancer awareness. Every Wednesday in June, Flying Saucer will offer a different classic European beer for its patrons along with pint glasses containing the brand of the week's logo.

Each glass purchase comes with a raffle ticket for a beer lover's dream trip with the European Beer Tour, taking place from Sep. 21st to Oct. 1st. The nine-night tour will take the winner and a guest to Prague, Bamberg, Eck and Munich for Oktoberfest and will include tours of famous breweries, beer lunches and dinners, and various beer hall crawls.

Pints for Prostates, founded by prostate cancer survivor and beer writer Rick Lyke, encourages men to take charge of their health through the universal language of beer. They inform men around the world of the importance of regular health screenings and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing by appearing at beer festivals, advocating through social media and pro bono advertising.

This will be the fifth consecutive year in which Flying Saucer and Pints for Protest have come together for this fundraising event. In past years, up to $30,000 has been raised in a single month by Flying Saucer, with a total of over $100,000 raised by their event to date.
