We Finally Know What's Going Into the former Mezcalería Mixtli

Posted By on Thu, Mar 23, 2017 at 5:00 AM

The sign has been up for some weeks now and we finally know what will take Mezcalería Mixtli's place at The Yard on McCullough.

Sabor Cocina Bar, owned by chef Federico Guillen formerly with Rosario's Mexican Cafe y Cantina, doesn't have an opening date yet. The restaurant has added a gas line and stove to add a full menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The breakfast menu includes waffles, pancakes, a la carte sides, breakfast plates and tacos, and six types of chilaquiles. For lunch, Sabor will serve an abridged menu of specialties including enchiladas, Baja tacos, pollo en mole and more. The dinner menu includes more of the same with added antojitos, salads and more house favorites.

The bar will include specialty tequila-based drinks.

Again, no date has been set for the opening, so we'll keep you posted when that's announced.
