Southerleigh Cook Will Kick Off New Dining Series

Posted By on Tue, Jul 11, 2017 at 6:03 AM

Fans of multi-course dinners and a variety of flavors will want to get tickets for Kindform's first of many dinners led by area talent. Guillermo Mendez will kick off the series, hosted by the online publication, on Friday, July 14 at 8 p.m.

Mendez is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America-San Antonio and a constant in the food scene for the last six years. His love of the kitchen began at 23 when he fell into working at a Thai restaurant and realized he wanted to pursue cooking. Since then, he worked at Andrew Weissman's Sandbar, NAO, and The Monterey.

The menu for the evening will include food and techniques he's grown to love along the way. Expect to a ceviche and Asian flavors within the five-course feast that'll feature dishes such as roasted pork shoulder with butter cashew sauce and puffed blue corn.

Pre-paid reservations ($110 per person) are required and can be made through

1425 S. Presa St.
