Stay Golden Social House was never truly gone. Though the building off Pearl Parkway was completely demolished weeks after their last business day, plans were in place to move the beloved watering hole.

And with a shiny new TABC notice on their front door, it's safe to say that the bar has found a new home — just a block over from its old digs. Now named Still Golden Social House, the bar will take over the former Run Wild Sports at the corner of Grayson and Broadway.

Per Jeret Peña, The Boulevardier Group-owned bar will take up 3,000 square feet with 1,500 of those coming from an outdoor patio deck that will wrap around the building. The prices will remain similar to the former location, as will the cocktail list, and the neighborhood vibe with plenty of TVs to watch Spurs games and an outdoor projector. Still Golden will also feature a game room with arcade games, air hockey, and darts. Food will more than likely be handled by sister bar Tucker's Kozy Korner.

Still Golden will join Betty's Battalion, Shuck Shack, The Bin, Grayze and the upcoming The Modernist along the strip of Grayson. The build-out phase should take them straight into the first quarter of 2018, with Peña hoping to open before the San Antonio Cocktail Conference.

The future of Stay Golden was always to be turned into a 10-story office building (Silver Ventures is handling that), so the bar was, shall we say, rustic. With Still Golden, Peña and his team have signed a "fairly long term lease with option for renewals," and plan to polish up the bar concept, while still keeping casual and laid-back.

"The plan is to be there a while. We've been shopping for a place since last year, and looked at a couple of businesses that were looking to rebrand, but we talked about this with our landlord (Patrick Shearer), who's a good friend of mine, and he likes our concept and knows where we're going with it," Peña said.

1900 Broadway.
