Tribeca 212 in Olmos Park, a neighborhood favorite serving up New American fare, has a new set of owners. With a new direction from Rudy Souberbielle and his partners Nick Gutierrez and Emely Zuluag, the restaurant is already  making changes to its operation.

The changes, including a weekend brunch (!!!) and now being open on Monday, comes with the trio's experience in the industry. Souberbielle is a seasoned restaurant manager and consultant, working with local eateries includes Las Canarias, Little Italy, Francesca's at Sunset and Zinc Bistro and Bar most recently.

"I've been fortunate to work with many influential restaurants throughout the years," said Souberbielle in a press release.

His team, including executive culinary chef David Yokuty, hope that Tribeca 212 will mirror the New York City neighborhood it's named after – artsy, vibrant and eclectic.

"We want to bring a slice of that urban, cosmopolitan feel to San Antonio as we evolve our little corner of the world," Souberbielle said.

Under the new kitchen direction, the restaurant will have weekday lunch specials for $9. Dishes will include Angus meatloaf, tacos, the 212 burger, fried chicken and almond trout.

Now that the restaurant will be open on Mondays, Tribeca 212 will celebrate the worst day of the week with an all-night happy hour – literally – from 3 p.m. to closing.

The eatery was previously owned and managed by Jean-Francois Poujol, but the building has had several iterations. Valentino’s after the building’s completion in 2008; it was followed by Olmos Park Bistro, owned by chef Laurent Rea of L’Etoile fame with partners Patrick Lanchais, and Michael Burkle; then came the Etcetera’s brief and lackluster stint; and finally A Tempo, a locavore’s short-lived dream.
