If you're still drinking Starbucks, you may want to brew your own coffee on the afternoon of May 29 as more than 8,000 company-owned stores in the United States are closing for "racial-bias" education.

The move comes as the coffee giant, which has several dozen stores in San Antonio, is in the midst of crisis management following the arrest of two black men at a Philadelphia Starbucks last week.

According to video, the men were arrested after a Starbucks employee called the cops on them for refusing to "make a purchase or leave." Philadelphia PD released the 911 call earlier this week.

The afternoon's curriculum will be developed by "guidance from several national and local experts confronting racial bias, including Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative; Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund; Heather McGhee, president of Demos; former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder; and Jonathan Greenblatt, ceo of the Anti-Defamation League. Starbucks will involve these experts in monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of the measures we undertake," per Starbucks' press release.
