As if you needed more reason to indulge, this month Lick Honest Ice Creams will be serving up their delicious scoops to hospitalized children and their families staying at Ronald McDonald Houses in Austin and San Antonio.

On July 15, or as they call it in the business, National Ice Cream Day, the company will be donating 10 percent of their earnings to the charity. RMHF Staff members will be in the shops to field questions and provide more information about the organization. The initiative is a part of their third annual Cones For a Cause campaign.

If you can’t make it out on the 15th, Lick shops will act as donation sites for the Ronald McDonald Foundation all month long. If you’re in Austin on the day in question, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to make homemade ice cream from Lick Co-founders Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier from 3- 5pm at Confituras Little Kitchen. Buy your tickets here (and yes, a portion of the ticket price will go to the cause as well).
