There's a lot hanging in the balance as Crazy Rich Asians hits theaters this Wednesday, August 15. The first contemporary movie featuring an all-Asian cast in 25 years, CRA is based on the 2013 book by Kevin Kwan and follows the tres chic lives of the über rich families in Singapore and China.

The Jon M. Chu-directed film has been buzzing since before the cast was pieced together more than three years ago, and glowing reviews are already trickling in.

And Alamo Drafthouse is getting in on the fun. Theaters will offer Crazy Rich Asians Feast screenings (August 15 at Park North, August 19 at Stone Oak, August 21 at Westlakes) with a slew of Asian bites.

The feast menu nods to the movie's prolific use of food to engage the audience (and reader). Per chef Brad Sorenson, "the meal starts with a shrimp & chicken satay marinated in chili. The second course is pork and ginger dumplings with a ginger and soy dipping sauce. To finish off the meal, there’s a rice pudding made with lychee and green tea followed by ginger cookies shaped like mahjong tiles."

Each dish is meant to pair with a particular moment in the film (the satay is the lead's introduction to Singapore's bustling food courts, etc.).

The menu will also feature cocktails including The Orchard Road, with coconut rum, pineapple, orange, lime, passionfruit, sparkling wine, orange “flower"; The Wet Market with vodka, lemon, strawberry, blueberry, sparkling sake; and a Singapore Sling with London Dry Gin, brandy, Cherry Heering, Benedictine, lime, Angostura bitters, soda.
