The patio at The Modernist keeps with the interior's 1960s vibe, and as such, the trailer bar is dipping into tiki territory these days.

Though the trailer-turned-bar was launched earlier this May, the tiki vibes are coming via bartender David Naylor (formerly with Paramour and Park Social before then). The tiny trailer will feature a menu of four tiki cocktails, "from dry to sweet classics, to some original concoctions," per an email by Naylor.

Tiki Thursdays (once a staple at Park Social, RIP), will continue throughout the fall with plenty of music ("cumbia, funk, reggae, and blues, to international sounds from the 60s, 70s to today").

"The trailer is the perfect vehicle for 'traveling' around, encompassing the entire ethos of tiki: tropical flavors that whisk you away to wherever your vacationing mind will take you," Naylor said.

The Modernist trailer opens from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.  So many restaurants, so little time. Find out the latest San Antonio dining news with our Flavor Friday Newsletter.
