Logic would dictate that if Coca-Cola is exploring the world of cannabidiol oil, the stigma around cannabis is slowly going away.

But for a group of San Antonians, the conversation swirling around cannabis products needs to ramp up. Way up. Alyssa Walker of Twenty Something SA are launching a Cannabis and Coffee monthly meet-up that kicks off on Wednesday, September 26.

Walker says CBD oil has helped her ditch her anti-depressants. She hopes the "cannacurious" will see the meet-up as a judge-free zone where like-minded people can chat about their canna-use.

"The medications I was taking had so many  side effects and I thought I was going to have to take it my whole life, but then I began researching CBD and it gave me some hope I can get off prescription pills," Walker said.

The monthly "topics will include the mental and physical health benefits of cannabis, the business of cannabis, and more" and will be paired with CBD oil-infused caramels and coffee by Flora & Fortitude. Tickets for next Wednesday's event (from 7 to 8 p.m.) are $25 through paypal.com.
