We're not trying to brag, but we like beer.

We like it so much we've hosted a whole festival for it the past 13 years. This year's lineup of 446 beers and counting, means the San Antonio Beer Festival, presented by H-E-B and benefitting the San Antonio Food Bank, will be the third largest beer festival in the state and second for brewery count. I guess we are trying to brag after all.

More than 131 breweries will be pouring their favorites on Saturday, October 20 from noon (VIP) and 1:30 (GA) to 6:30 p.m.

The VIP area will be sponsored by Real Ale Brewing Co., which brought home gold for their Real Heavy Scotch ale, and will feature 19 beers specific to the area.

Presenting sponsor H-E-B will host an H-E-B Experience Tent with predominantly Texan breweries, including Real Ale Brewing, Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, Southern Star Brewing, Saint Arnold Brewing Company,
Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling, Four Corners Brewing Co. and Freetail Brewing Co. Additional tappings will also go down, so pencil that into your San Antonio Beer Festival plan of attack.
