Cereal Killer Sweets — a new San Antonio sweet shop inspired by the colorful, nostalgia-inducing breakfast staple — may prove to be a guilty pleasure that doesn't require your Netflix password.

Owner Megan Morales decided to close her previous local business, Pink's Popcorn, to focus on making her popular oversized rice cereal-bars. The chewy treats come in flavors like Unicorn Swirl, Berry Me Alive, Nutella Surprise, Peanut Butter Cup and S'mores, and all are available in-store or online for individual purchase, or as a pack for special events.

"I love how excited people get every time someone eats one of our Cereal Killers," Morales said in a recent press release. "They tell me a story that takes them all the way back to when they were kids making their own cereal treats with their mom or grandma."

Morales began whipping up sweets at a young age, starting in her mom's bakery, and eventually building a career with more than 15 years of industry experience. As she found local success in her food businesses, she's also prioritized giving back to the community. Ten percent of all Cereal Killer's sales go to local non-profits organizations, including Snack Pak 4 Kids.

Cereal Killer also schedules pop-ups, which it promotes on Facebook and Instagram
