2. Texas Public Radio Cinema Tuesdays: Out of Africa
TPR screens a new restoration of Sydney Pollack’s 1985 adaptation of Isak Dinesen’s 1937 memoir Out of Africa. 3. Fairy Tail the Movie
The Drafthouse screens Masaya Fujimori’s animated film based on the sh?nen manga and anime series Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima. The film features the regular television cast along with voice actors Aya End? as priestess Eclair and Mika Kanai as her birdlike companion Momon. 4. SAMA Screens: Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World
Susan Sarandon narrates Unity Productions Foundation’s Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World, a 2011 documentary that visits nine countries and spans 1,400 years to explore the artistic and architectural riches of Islam. 5. Austin Forrest CD Release Show
Austin Forrest is one of dozens of anonymous local singer-songwriters making a living mostly playing covers at restaurants. “She Breathes,” a beautiful finger-picked folk ballad with sophisticated chord changes and a soulful vocal delivery, is among the originals on Eating the Elephant, a 10-track debut album Forrest will be presenting at Tycoon Flats accompanied by a percussionist.
