When a duo of celebrated young writers hit the road on a jaunt dubbed the “Lazers of Sexcellence 5.0 Motorcycle and Poetry Tour,” you know they’re trying to turn a few heads. Such is just the case with actress and poet Amber Tamblyn and poet Derrick Brown’s current reading tour, which hits Viva Tacoland Monday. The idea, in this case, seems to showcase the pair’s respective works in an attention-grabbing manner, designed to draw more young people to their work.
