2015 Film Series: Tender Mercies 
NLC will screen Tender Mercies as part of their Small Texas Towns film festival. This story of a down-and-out country singer with a dark past stars Robert Duvall and Tess Harper. Lauded for its masterful screenplay, Tender Mercies is often taught in college level film courses. Also critically acclaimed for its direction and acting performances, Tender Mercies is a must see for any Texan. McNay Second Thursdays
Art. Music. Food. Drinks. Beginning in February, McNay Second Thursdays is back! On the second Thursday of every month, enjoy a a night of free fun on the museum grounds. As he haunts the streets at night he begins to plot to assassinate a presidential candidate and clean the filthy streets of the city. he goes as far as recruiting a 12 year-old prostitute to return her suburban upbringing. Artpace Remix


For high school students only: On Saturday, April 11 from 7-10pm, Artpace will host Remix, a FREE event planned for teens, by teens. The night will include music by DJ Chacho, film screenings by Say Si, food truck fare from The Fridge SA*, art projects, and contemporary art experiences led by the You[th]Pace Teen Art Council and The Playhouse Tribe. San Antonio Book Festival 

SABF unites readers and writers in a celebration of ideas, books, libraries and literary culture. Presented by the Library Foundation, the Festival is a free, daylong event at the Central Library and Southwest School of Art that presents more than 75 acclaimed national and regional authors at engaging readings, panel discussions, book sales and signings.
