UTSA kicked off the fall semester with a midnight fireworks show.

The fall semester officially began today at the University of Texas at San Antonio. If you live near campus and wanted to get a good night's sleep before your 8 a.m. class like a responsible student, well, sorry, you should have been out there  with the rest of the Rowdy Roadrunners showing your school spirit.

The University kicked off the semester with its second annual Midnight Lights. President Ricardo Romo led a rally last night that culminated in a shock-and-awe midnight fireworks display to pump students up before the first day of class.

Some students appreciated it more than others.

Get rowdy!!! #utsa19 #utsa
