In January, The Stranger reported on some of the “countless nasty gossip surrounding” Seattle-based Majesty — including that “Redditers vehemently spread the rumor that she fucked her porn star brother” Taylor Reign and therefore got pegged as “the incest one” on Dragula.
Speaking to Out magazine this summer about the release of Pervert (a debut album inspired by “horny teenage angst”), the outlandish, outspoken, sex-positive performer explained that “music was [her] escape growing up.” The title track, she said, “takes a comical look at [her] past of being a sex worker,” and she related adolescent struggles to “the sounds of queer-punk artists, drag queens and porn.” Several of those disciplines are destined to collide in Majesty’s forthcoming endeavors aiming to “mix the drag and porn worlds together to help educate more queer youth on safe sex.”
Inviting guests to don their “best club-kid attire,” Majesty’s San Antonio appearance features performances by “long-term MadHouse patients” Shawn Benét, Paradox Rei, Mystere Lopez, Nova Cain, Britni Lebosavich, Ms. Anne Thrope and The Puberty Sisters, plus “new arrivals” Kooder Parker, Gena Cyde, Mehgan D. Lux, Demonica St. Nick and Paris Ite.
