Fiesta kicks off at the Hemisfair
Get the party started down at Fiesta at Hemisfair, the official opening of this year’s festivities with the breaking of cascarones. Enjoy live entertainment throughout the night while you have the chance to meet Fiesta royalty and other special guests.. Within the party, you can also buy, sell or trade Fiesta pins and medals at Pin Pandemonium. Hemisfair Park, 434 S. Alamo

Fiesta Store Pop-up Shop
With the first night of Fiesta comes the pop-up shop. Find the most fun and authentic Fiesta-wear to make your outfits for the city’s 10-day party. That includes official Fiesta t-shirts and medals, of course. Get this year’s Fiesta poster, too. 5-9 p.m. April 20 at Hemisfair Park, 434 S. Alamo

Fiesta Carnival Starts
Have you really experienced Fiesta if you haven’t been to the carnival at the Alamodome? The lights are spectacular, the rides are thrillingly fun and the food booths are perfect for a night of shenanigans. This is a Fiesta favorite for good reason. 6-11p.m. April 20-30 at Alamodome Parking Lot
