Since its launch in the UK in 1949, the iconic board game Cluedo (marketed as Clue on this side of the pond) has inspired numerous special editions (themed after everything from The Simpsons and Harry Potter to Alfred Hitchcock and The Twilight Zone), books, video games, a musical and a 1985 film with three different endings — all surrounding the unsolved murder of Mr. Boddy.
Putting an artsy spin on the classic whodunit, the San Antonio Museum of Art’s Murder Mystery Night invites guests to search the worldly galleries for clues to determine who killed the Chief Curator. As you investigate paintings, sculptures and objects from Italy, Japan, Egypt and beyond, “suspects will be stationed at their artworks to disprove or verify your accusations as you narrow down the murderer, weapon and gallery.”
