Since its launch in 2016, Shop Rare Marketplace has treated San Antonio’s vintage enthusiasts to an array of events that smartly combine old-school treasure hunting with live music, creative photo ops and edible treats of the vegan variety.
Gathering wares from nearly 30 vendors (including retro apparel, home decor and ephemera from The Mermaid Farm, “reclaimed” duds from Houston-based Maw Supply, plus-size styles from Shop Massive Curves and “premium vintage streetwear” from Clutch City Classics), Shop Rare’s first outing of 2018 sees the operation relocating from Southtown to the St. Mary’s Strip for an all-ages, pet-friendly, “curated shopping experience” complete with complimentary drinks provided by Austin Eastciders and Topo Chico.
