From the mind of award-winning playwright Sara Ruhl comes
Eurydice, a play referencing the classic Greek myth of Orpheus — but told from the perspective of his wife Eurydice. Ruhl’s atypical retelling of the myth is an artistic allegory of love and death, combining innovative language and moving melodies. In the play, Eurydice is torn between life among the living with her true love Orpheus, and death in the underworld alongside her father. Marking the debut of socially minded Spark Theater Company,
Eurydice arrives on the Tobin stage in a production directed by Lara Benavides with an original score performed by local outfit Juncture.
