Spanish Harlem Orchestra Returns to San Antonio Next Year

After the cancellation of Mr. & Mrs. Dream — a dance production based on playwright Eugene Ionesco's work — ARTS San Antonio announced the Spanish Harlem Orchestra will return to San Antonio at the Aztec Theater on March 22.

Marie-Claude Pietragalla and Julien Derouault — the choreographers behind Mr. & Mrs. Dream — cancelled the American dates on their tour because of a lack of funding in their native France, ARTS San Antonio says in a press release.

All tickets for the production will be honored at the Spanish Harlem Orchestra's performance.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Spanish Harlem Orchestra,” ARTS San Antonio President John Toohey says in a press release. “Our commitment to the community inspires us to present the best to our city. We look forward to presenting Mr. & Mrs. Dream at a time when economic conditions are more favorable.”
