One of the more popular places to splash around in the summer is Barton Springs, located in the middle of Austin. Though usually buzzing with activity, families and college students alike should visit this unique metropolitan oasis. Within Zilker Park’s 358 acres, this 3 acre pool ranges from 68-70 degrees in temperature year round, making this spot a fun place to visit any time of the year. The pool is closed weekly for cleaning on Thursday’s from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The spring is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
