Lena L., a member of Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, is working with the SA Food Bank on a Gold Award Project. Youth and caregivers can attend a free educational event on Sept. 28 in the Harvey E. Najim Children's Pavilion at the San Antonio Food Bank. Hands-on stations and presentations will address food availability, nutrition, fitness, cooking, gardening, animal care services supported by the Food Bank and more. Check-in begins at 9 a.m., stations run from 9:30 a.m.-noon and an optional tour of the Food Bank follows. Participants can sign up for the free event at https://forms.fillout.com/t/cJuUyjsBJJus.
