Semejantes Personajes/Significant Personages Panel Discussion

During the month of August, San Antonio will celebrate Xicanx Month with exhibitions, programs, workshops and performances throughout the city. For Ruby City’s part in this celebration, join artists depicted in Celia Álvarez Muñoz’s exhibition, "Los Brillantes," as they discuss their experiences being photographed by Muñoz and the shifting cultural landscape they’ve encountered throughout their careers. This panel will be moderated by Mia Lopez, McNay Art Museum Curator of Latinx Art. Confirmed Artists: Jesse Amado, Ana de Portela, Jim Mendiola, Cruz Ortiz, Ethel Shipton, Terry Ybañez and David Zamora Casas.
