Join in for a free workshop designed for K-12 social studies teachers. Attendees will be provided with TEKS-aligned lesson exemplars for elementary, middle school and high school grades, each focusing on different aspects of Perales' legacy. This workshop will equip educators with the tools and knowledge to effectively teach about his significant contributions to civil rights and social justice. The workshop is designed and presented by Dr. Elizabeth Rivas, curriculum specialist. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided. 3 CPE hours for qualified teachers.
