Teen Workshop: Create a Comic Book (Ages 10 to 13) Day 1

Day 1 of a 3 day workshop. Discover the fine points of designing comic books. Workshop participants will visit the special exhibition, Men of Steel, Women of Wonder and the permanent collection to look for dynamic poses, continuous narratives, and ornate vestments from various cultures. In the studio, workshop participants will explore: character creation, drawing techniques, storyboard design, and plot development. Participants will be able to choose between an accordion style layout and traditional 12 page book formats. Participants will also be invited to screen print their own souvenir tote bag or poster. Teen workshops are led by professional artist-educators.
