Texas Arts Teachers Encouraged to Apply For First-Year Teacher Grants

The Texas Cultural Trust has opened applications for the 2024 - 2025 First Year Teacher Grants. These grants are designed to support highly qualified arts teachers in providing quality arts education to Title I, rural, low arts access communities throughout Texas, as part of the nonprofit’s Arts Access program. The First Year Teacher Grant will award grantees a one-time grant in the amount of $1,500. This grant is intended to help alleviate costs associated with completing the first year as an arts teacher. This funding can be applied to professional development, classroom enrichment, school supplies, field trips and additional resources.
