On Sept. 12, 2024, the Fort Sam’s Own 323D U.S. Army Band will be performing a free Summer Concert at the Alamo Plaza. The concert promises to be a patriotic celebration filled with stirring melodies, instrumental soloists and music from many cultures. As the sun sets and the weather cools, the band will take the stage at 7 p.m. in front of the historic Alamo mission delivering music from “Around the World.” Expect a diverse repertoire, including classic marches, contemporary tunes and patriotic American favorites.
