Culinaria Food Festival
kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, May 13,  There are tons of events all week long, but we have four we couldn't miss for the world.

First up we have the Food Truck Event on Thursday, May 14 down at H-E-B Alon Market (8503 NW. Military Hwy). There will be 12 food trucks participating, including Sir-Wacha (who had awesome tacos during the Twisted Taco Truck Throwdown), Where Y'at (owned by this year's Best of San Antonio Chef, Pieter Sypesteyn), Cheesy Janes, Crepe Nation, Sabor Colombiano (a personal favorite of our food and nightlife editor) and many more. It starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for everyone 21 and older and $5 for anyone under 21. Kids 5 and under get in free! Ticket price includes entry to event and beverages. Food from the trucks is sold separately (and take a few friends so they can all stand in separate lines). Tickets can be purchased here and at all H-E-B Business Centers.

Next up we have Best of Mexico happening at The Shops at La Cantera (15900 La Cantera Pkwy.) on Friday, May 15. This event is a unique one where local and visiting chefs take you on a culinary tour of Mexico. They will be preparing their own spins on their favorite Mexican dishes and you can sample it all with tequila, a specialty beer or wine. Tickets are $50 in advance and $65 at the door. They can be purchased here and at H-E-B Business Centers.

The Tasting Rooms at The Grotto is a new event this year, but we have high hopes. Held Saturday, May 16 at The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center (200 E. Market) St. in ballroom 007 on the Riverwalk Level, the event will feature a talk at 1 p.m, from chef Michael Sohocki of Kimura and Restaurant Gwendolyln, followed by chef Andon Whitehorn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will be joining the event as well. There will also be mini seminars and demonstrations on cocktails, wine and movies  throughout the day for all who attend. The event runs 1-4p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here.

If you're looking to wind your weekend down with something casual, Burgers & Beer on Sunday, May 17 is the near perfect end to a food-filled week. This event will be held at The Pearl ( 200 E. Grayson) and will be a perfect opportunity for anyone to pair a nice juicy burger with an ice cold brew. Prices are $45 for general admission, $25 for students, $10 for anyone under 21 and kids 5 and under get in for free. Those can be purchased here and at any local H-E-B Business Center.
