5 Ways to Get Your Drink/Grub on This Week

Wednesday, October 1: The Hangar Tavern is having their monthly craft beer tasting, held every first Wednesday of the month. Guests will sample 10 craft beers from five different breweries. Thursday, October 2: Q Kitchen|Bar in the Hyatt Regency will host the annual Urban Backyard BBQ and it’s open to the public. The River Walk restaurant/bar will hold a raffle at the event and donate proceeds from ticket sales to the Texas Burn Survivor Society. Prizes include a bottle of Q's 1972 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon, lunch for four at the pasta buffet, tickets to a beer or bourbon dinner, and a one-night stay at the hotel, complete with breakfast. Friday, October 3: Boardwalk on Bulverde brings on the beer and brats with its fourth annual OctoBeer Feast food and beer festival through Sunday, October 5. Portions of the day’s proceeds will benefit the new San Antonio Children’s Museum. Stop by for food trucks, Lienenkugel Oktoberfest, Sunset Wheat and other brews. Saturday, October 4: Sip Texas Hill Country wines, craft beers and cocktails while sampling from top local restaurants, enjoying live entertainment and bidding on silent auction items, all for a significant cause to support the AFE (Amniotic Fluid Embolism) Foundation. Stop into Tango of the Vines for this worthwhile cause while chowing down on appetizers via Acenar, Boiler House, Catalyst Catering, the San Antonio Chefs Cooperative and La Hacienda de Los Barrios along with wine from Fiesta Winery, Becker Vineyards and others. $60, 6:30-10:30pm, 3801 Broadway, afesupport.org.

Wednesday, October 8: The stars at night are big and bright and you can enjoy those along with Southeast Asian fare during Tuk Tuk Tap Room’s next Full Moon dinner.
