8 Bars To Visit On Valentine's Day

Unless you've been under a rock, you definitely know that Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend, and it is not going to care if you're single or you have that special someone in your life. So you can either be bitter Betty or Bob about it, or you can get out and have yourself some drinks and a good time at any one of these bars around town. 

For starters we have Coyote Ugly (409 E. Commerce), with their 10th annual Valentine Bitter Bash. Prizes can be given funniest pick-up line, craziest break up story and most embarrassing couple moment. You can either take a date and laugh all night or go alone and try to meet your Valentine. 

Next we have the Love Sux party over at Howl At The Moon (111 W. Crockett) They've got you covered if you're single. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and you can get in for free with a torn-up, shredded, or mutilated picture of your ex at the door. Be sure to be ready for the all-night drink specials on Bud Light, Skyy Vodka Cocktails and 24-ounce X-Boyfriends.

If you're looking for something a little more calm, be sure to visit Esquire (155 E. Commerce). You can take a date, have a nice dinner and have a red velvet Valentine's cupcake specially made by the chef paired with an Aperol-forward cocktail from the bar.

La Fogata (2427 Vance Jackson) is another place to celebrate Valentine's day with your special someone. They'll be offering a special Valentine's Day dish and some award-winning margaritas with Sauza Blue. There will also be free tequila tasting from 6 to 8 p.m.  so if you're looking for awesome drinks. 

Next up we have The Brooklynite (516 Brooklyn) with their second annual Anti-Valentine's day party with $8 Whiskey Kiss specials and the best 90's slow jams to accompany your Valentine's hate.

Another place to check out is Ice Lounge (5545 N.W. Loop 410). They'll be having a V-Day Bash with DJ Ammunition, DJ Eddie and DJ Lights Out hosted by Ron Rice. Ladies get in free all night long.

Oak Hills Tavern (7920 Fredericksburg) is also having their Punch Drunk Love party with Valentine-themed drinks, shots and food.There is no cover, the fun starts at 10 p.m.  featuring DJ Mighty Iris.

Last, but not least, Bar Louie (15900 La Cantera Pkwy., Suite 22100, 22610 US Highway 281 N. Suite 105) will host a Screw Cupid party. Singles and happy couples are welcome. They'll be having "Fifty Shades"-themed cocktails like the S&M and The Red Room.
