Arcade Joins James Beard Challenge

Arcade Midtown Kitchen, 303 Pearly Parkway Suite 111, is partnering with the James Beard Foundation's Taste America Local Dish Challenge.

Diners can support the dish challenge by visiting a a participating restaurant from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, order a Taste America Local Dish, take  a photo of the dish  and post it on Instagram with a hashtag of your city or #JBFTasteamerica.

Arcade  will donate $1 for each sold dish to the JBF Taste America Education Drive.

Whichever city gets the most Instagram photo uploads by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31 wins the competition and will receive the highest between $10,000 or 10 percent of proceeds raised nationally.

Jesse Perez, Chef of Arcade Midtown Kitchen will be participating with his dish of Maple Leafs Farm Duck Barbacoa Drunken Cherry Sauce and Foie Gras Nuggets to showcase the best of San Antonio's local food scene from Sept. 1 to Oct. 31.

The competition is part of the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America®: “Local Flavor from Coast to Coast" tour which includes 10 cities from New York City to Los Angeles where foodies can sample a variety of taste buds.
