Big Bob's Burgers (447 W. Hildebrand Ave., 210-734-2627) has added cool treats to its lineup. After taking over the former Frozen Friday's location next door, Bob Riddle and staff are now doling out funky, cool concoctions out of Big Bob's Shaved Ice.
The shop, which technically opens into its patty-filled neighbor, will host a grand opening next Saturday, May 28. For now, hours mirror that of the beloved burger shop, so get your fix from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
There are more than 20 flavors of shaved ice syrups to choose from with add-ons including from chopped pickled, gummy bears, sour belts, tamarindo sticks, snow caps or ice cream scoops.
If you're not feeling creative, Big Bob and manager Steve McGarity have created a few to choose from including a Strawberry Heaven with Blue Bell strawberry ice cream, fresh strawberries, strawberry and chocolate syrup, whipped cream and gummy bears; or the Dreamsicle (pictured) with orange shaved ice, Blue Bell vanilla ice cream, candy orange slices, red and green chamoy and gummy belt ribbons.
Prices range from $2.99 to $5.95.
