The little food truck that could is no more. Nowadays, Chela's Tacos has opened a second brick-and-mortar location inside the former Joseph's Bakery.
The space will eventually feature a bar, but for now, Chela's Tacos No. 2 features the same menu as its predecessor in a larger dining area. All the hits made the move, including the chicken cilantro, the beefy deshebrada, and the costra de chela, of crisp fried mozzarella and choice of meat (the carnitas and the al pastor are your best moves).
Chela's Tacos will open at 6 a.m. daily. but hours are in flux through the grand opening set for Sunday, September 30.
