There are plenty of food happenings to keep track of in 2015. For starters, fans of La Panadería (8305 Broadway, (210) 375-6746) will be glad to know that they can now enjoy fresh-made breads inside their newly expanded location. More seating means more chances to load up on conchas, orejas and La Panadería's bread cultura.

And because the holidays took a toll on all of our wallets, Arcade Midtown Kitchen (306 Pearl Pkwy, Ste 111, (210) 369-9664) is helping eaters out with a "20+15=$35" promotion through January. Stop in for a $15 three-course lunch or $35 three-course dinner, with choice between canela pork tenderloin, coriander flat-iron steak or house-made bucatini pasta with lamb ragu.

Big Bob's Burgers opened its third location (4553 N Loop 1604, Ste 1133) on Friday, January 2. Now you have three locations in which to satiate your charbroiled burger cravings. The third location features Blue Bell milkshakes, a full bar, two live music stages and a playground for the little ones.

Sandwiches are my jam, so I'm happy to report that Dignowity Meats, brought to you by the folks behind Taps y Tapas, The Point Park & Eats and Crazy Carl's has opened at 1707 E Houston. They're open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or sellout) and feature hot and cold sandwiches like the popular turkey caprese from their order window. There's no indoor seating, so dress accordingly.

Speaking of meats, The Granary 'Cue & Brew (602 Avenue A, (210) 228-0124) is taking a breather after a busy holiday season and will shut down their smoker through Monday, January 12.

The Witte is kicking off the year with the return of Salud! Culinary Nights with chef Zach Lutton of Zedric's on Wednesday, January 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Learn how you whip up healthy eats such as Zedric's chicken tortilla soup with avocado relish, pecan-crusted chicken with brown rice pilaf and ratatouille with roasted red pepper sauce, and how to pair the meals with sustainable wines out of Bending Branch Winery. Tickets are $50 per person; $45 for Witte members at (210) 357-1910.

Finally, we hope your livers are ready for this year's San Antonio Cocktail Conference. Tickets for most of the events from January 14 through 18 are still available, but limited, and you won't want to miss this boozy celebration of cocktails that includes dinners, seminars, an opening night soiree at the Majestic Theatre, Waldorf on the Prairie at the St. Anthony Hotel, a Stroll on Houston Street, and the original cocktail competition and closing ceremonies at the Aztec Theatre. Visit sanantoniococktailconference.com for details.
