Recent flooding in the Central Texas area has left Austin in a bind.
The City of Austin issued an alert to residents early this morning with instructions to boil water before use as "historic flood waters flowing into our water supply lakes contain very high levels of silt that makes it challenging for the water plants to produce the volume of water needed to supply customers at this time."

H-E-B isn't letting Austinites go thirsty. The San Antonio-based grocery company is planning on sending extra shipments of water as needed, according to a release from the H-E-B Newsroom.
"Once we were notified of the Austin water boil notice, we began sending additional water to Austin stores with plans to send more than 100 trailers of water today and will continue to as needed."
