The city will be buzzing this Saturday during the sixth annual San Antonio Coffee Festival at La Villita, and you won't have to squeeze into Maverick Square to sample more than 80 types of roasts from local coffee purveyors either.

According to festival founder Linda Brewster, the SACF will feature a larger footprint into Plaza Juarez and Villita Street to accommodate more than 20 Texan roasters serving more 88 coffee varieties including 1885 Roasters, Big Bend Coffee Roasters, Cafe Ole’, Caferros, D’s Roastery, Espressivo Coffee, Estate Coffee Company, Fara Coffee, Gruene Coffee Haus, Independence Coffee, Bloom City Coffee, HEYDAY Cold Brew, Katz Coffee, Keva Smoothie and Koffee, KIVA Coffee Roasters, Merit Roasting Company, Olla Express Cafe, Quick Sip Coffee, Rosella Coffee Co., Summer Moon Woodfired Coffee Roasters, Texas Sludge Coffee, True Republic Roasters, White Elephant and Wicked Voodoo Espresso.

"The hard part will be figuring out which four to try," Brewster said.

Vendors will also feature breakfast tacos, baked goods and fair food come mid-day.

The event will also feature coffee cocktails by Gabriel's Liquor, free demos and coffee art.

"It's rewarding when you see grandmothers drinking coffee with their granddaughters," said Brewster of the family-friendly event. "There are coffee traditions in every community in some form or fashion, we're just trying to share that."

The San Antonio Coffee Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 6. Admission is free; tasting flights start at $5 for a flight of four and can be purchased the day of the event or online through
