St. Phillips College is sponsoring a Taste of Elegance Culinary Competition on the school campus Friday, February 11. Pork is the theme of the competition, and all chefs, food artists, or anyone with a scintillating, original, pork-based recipe is encouraged to come ham it up. First prize will recieve $1,000 and represent San Antonio at the National Taste of Elegance Competition in April in Orlando, Florida. For more information, call (800) 308-6549.

Dine at Azuca, 713 South Alamo, on Valentine's Day for a special aphrodisiac menu. Chef Rene Fernandez's menu, designed for the romantically disposed, includes honey-glazed quail, salsa'd chili-dusted tuna steak, and "Casanova's Secret" for dessert. Head into the Hill Country February 11-13 and 18-20 for the "Wine Lovers' Trail." Sixteen Texas Wineries will open their doors for vintage tasting, food sampling, flowers, and much more.
