How to Celebrate Oktoberfest in San Antonio This Weekend


Oktoberfest biers are out and San Antonio growler stations and breweries are celebrating in Munich-style.

Friday, September 21
Gartenfest // Brats, biers, and big bands are all a part of Oktoberfest tonight inside Beethoven Maennerchor in Southtown. Make sure to wear your dancing shoes. $5 at the door, 5 p.m., 422 Pereida St., (210) 222-1521.

Woodyfest // Little Woodrow's Stone Oak is hosting Oktoberfest-style beer samples all evening as paired with a Journey cover band live from 6:30-9:30 p.m., and test your strength at our Stein Hoisting Competition at 8 p.m. Grab $3.50 Shiner pints and $5.50 Big Ass 32oz Shiners, as well as pretzels, bratwurst, and more. 6 p.m. 606 W. Saturday, September 22

Dunkelweizen Release // Dorcol Distilling & Brewing Co.'s HighWheel Beerworks will take show of its Dunkelweizen, a Bavarian dark wheat ale with bratwurts and more. 5pm, 1902 S. Flores St., (210) 229-0607.
