Months after announcing plans for a second location, Papa's Burgers has shared where exactly their newest outpost will be located.

Though management had previously teased that the second location would be in the Sea World area, an announcement earlier this week reveals that Papa's 2.0 will take over the building Sazon Mexican Cafe is currently at.

Located at 9822 Potranco Road, Sazon is planning to move to a brand-new building, also on Potranco, within the next few months. The revamped Mexican spot will feature a rooftop bar.

As for Papa's, the new spot will be a step up from the original 41-seat restaurant on Old Highway 90 West. Though the opening depends on when Sazon moves out of the Potranco space, owner Robert Walker expects to be up-and-running in six months. Sazon's tables, which were originally from Los Barrios Mexican Restaurant, will stay in the space.

"They're passing along this amazing tradition of helping smaller restaurants grow," Walker said.

In June, a Yelp report named Papa's Burgers as the fourth-best burger joint in the entire country. Locals and visitors alike flocked to the West Side to get a taste of the burger, causing long wait times and the restaurant being filled to capacity.

Not too long afterward, Walker decided the best way to address the increase in fans was to open a second location.
