Il Forno
Chef Michael Sohocki's two other eateries made our best bets list and his newest isn't far behind. For $10 lunch gets you a green salad, small margherita pizza and a popsicle, and $25 at dinner scores you bruschetta, an Americano pizza with pepperoni and gelato. Nice.
122 Nogalitos, (210) 616-2198.

5 Points Local
Five Points gained a great new eatery when 5 Points opened early this year. The paleo-friendly, gluten-free restaurant/yoga studio is offering a watermelon salad starter; choice of chili colorado with braised pork shoulder or "Paleo Peach" with grilled peaches over quinoa, black beans and smoky corn; and choice of either vanilla milk pudding with fruit and rosewater caramel or chocolate coconut panna cotta for dessert.
1017 N. Flores St., (210)529-0830.
