Whiskey and guns go together like a cowboy and his horse. Ranger Creek Brewing and Distilling (4834 Whirlwind) has released their newest Texas rye whiskey as a part of their limited edition Small Caliber Series of whiskey. Each whiskey in the series is named after a firearm and the .44 Texas Rye is named after the Walker Colt of the 1840s.

The .44 Texas Rye was released in November only at the distillery but now the whiskey is available at both the distillery for $29 and at retailers Spec’s, Gabriel’s and Total Wine and More for the recommended price of $34.99.
