Any loteria aficionados out there? Salud Tequila Bar (8123 Broadway, 320-6034) will host artist John Picacio for "Loteria Fest," on Saturday, March 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature the traditional playing cards we've grown accustomed to over tournaments with our tias during weekends at grandma's house, though attendees will get a chance to score Picacio's Loteria Grande cards. The cards, literally almost twice the size of regular loteria ones, take a more fantastical approach to the usual deck using dark, moody hues and whimsical scenarios.

Other prizes includes signed Picacio posters, movie art coffee table books, DVDS and more. Loteria-themed drinks are in the works, as well, and will include a free Loteria Grande cards.

Picacio is a two-time winner of the Hugo Award for Best Professional Artist.
