Based on the wildly popular Mexican beverage, the Paloma Blanca, the Pomelo Solo uses the flavor of grapefruit and lime to take the “bite” out of the tequila. The sweetness of the grapefruit soda masks the tequila scent while the shot finishes with tangy hints of lime and fresh botanicals. It’s perfect as a party shot so mix up a pitcher and let the good times flow. ¡Viva Fiesta!
1 ounce Blanco tequila
½ ounce grapefruit soda
¼ ounce fresh grapefruit juice
Squeeze of lime
Combine tequila and fresh juices in shaker glass with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into tall shot glass and top with grapefruit soda. Salted rim optional.
