In an effort to keep up with the onslaught of new middle to upper-class residents in the Tobin Hill area, Cheryl Richmond, owner of Texas Trash Clothing Exchange has turned her attention to cocktails. Along with business partner Rhonda Sciaraffa (of the late White Rabbit), the pair has turned the once thrift shop into a cafe and bar known as The Looking Glass

Open seven days a week, The Looking Glass is open noon to 2 a.m. with happy hour ($2.75 wells, $2.50 Miller High Life, $2.50 Lon Star draft and Lone Star Lite bottles) running 3 to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Mondays mean discounts for military and civil service personnel who receive 10 percent off their tab.

The 1930s decor and expansive patio meets a small rotating menu of comfort food including mac n' cheese with bacon, grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches, along with a cupcake of the day and a drink of the day (such as a classic Old Fashioned). Follow Looking_GlassSA on Instagram for daily menu updates.
