The popular dining spot, which shut down in late June for renovations, will reopen on Thursday, August 8. New additions will include an expanded bar lounge, more dining room options and a private party area that includes new carpeting and 65-inch smart TVs.
The Palm will celebrate the Grand Opening with an invitation-only fundraiser to benefit Soldiers’ Angels, a local charity that provides support services to current military, veterans and their families, from 5-7:30 p.m. The restaurant also will donate 10% of all proceeds this weekend to the charity.
Following the event, the restaurant will open to the public.
“We’ve built such a bond and connection with San Antonio over the past 20 years...As we have seen the city continue to evolve, it was time The Palm did the same. In tandem with the exciting growth on Houston Street, we wanted to give The Palm a facelift that better suits patrons new and old whether they were going to the Majestic Theater or just a night out on the town," General Manager Robert Sanchez told The Current.
"It’s more spacious in the dining room, it’s a bigger and better environment at the bar, and it accomplishes all of this while maintaining The Palm’s classic feel our guests have come to love through the past two decades.”
