Octoberfest shindigs are popping up already. The Westin La Cantera Resort (16641 La Cantera Pkwy) will host a pig roast and beer dinner at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 4 at the La Cantera Resort Grille. The dinner will include four stations with a variety of char-grilled bratwursts, side dishes and cold bites and dessert prepared by head chef Dirk Troop and his team. Beer pairings are subject to change, but for now the list includes Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Hofbrau Munchen, Sunner Kolsch, Erdinger Pikantus Bock, Erdinger Weissbrau, Warsteiner Pilsner and more.
